Congratulations to our Under 15's Football team for winning the Dublin 11 a side outdoor football tournament in Terenure on May 21st. We came up against some very strong teams and it was a great achievemnt to come back to St. Michael's School with the trophy. Well done to the whole team!

First Aid Training Workshop
On the 30 th of April, 25 students from three senior classes took part in a basic first aid training workshop delivered by Ray Murphy from Dublin Fire Brigade. Ray, an Advanced Paramedic with Dublin Fire Brigade, provided students with practical, engaging, and accessible training in a range of important life- saving skills. Croke Park

Confirmation
Congratulations to 19 of our pupils who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Friday 13th March. Pupils involved were from St. Mark, St. John, St. Anthony, St. Therese and St. Brendan’s Classes. They were lovingly supported by their families and sponsors on the day. Congratulations to our senior boys Basketball team who were crowned All Ireland Champions for the second year in a row after beating Limerick in the final at the National Sports Campus. Bake Sale
St Vincent’s Class have been working hard all term on our QQ1 subjects but the highlight for us was our recent Bake Sale. We were delighted to have organised a fundraising Bake Sale for The Irish Cancer Society on Daffodil Day Friday March 20th Pupils, staff, bus escorts, bus drivers and families were incredibly generous and supportive and we were overwhelmed to have raised over €800 for this very worthwhile charity which affects many lives. Signs of Spring
After all the recent bad weather we are finally starting to see some signs of spring beginning to appear in our school garden. We have noticed that some of our Crocus have started to appear next to the snowdrops, and the daffodils have also emerged and have now began to bud. We look forward to seeing the lovely shades of yellow as we move into spring and hopefully some milder and brighter days ahead .

Indoor Athletics Meeting
Well done to our Athletics team who represented our school at the National Indoor Arena on Thursday 29th January. Events included the 60m sprint, 200m, 400m, long jump and Shot Putt. Catholic Schools Week
The week commencing January 19th was a special week in St. Michaels School . It was a week when we celebrated the wonderful things that happen every day in our schools. We prayed for all students and for everyone who works in the school and we also learnt about Saint Carlo Acutis during our religion classes. On Wedneday we also invited some of our Grandparents in to celebrate Grandparents Day and the special role that they play in our lives.
